Accountant
Job Location : Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates
Core Responsibilities :
• Recording financial transactions and maintaining accounting records.
• Processing supplier payments and monitoring customer receivables.
• Preparing invoices and ensuring timely reconciliation of accounts.
• Managing bank reconciliations and verifying financial data.
• Assisting with VAT calculations and ensuring compliance with UAE tax regulations.
• Supporting month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Preparing financial statements and management reports.
• Working with accounting software to maintain accurate financial information.
• Assisting with project-related accounting and cost monitoring where required.
Candidate Profile :
• A minimum of 2 years of accounting experience within Abu Dhabi.
• Previous employment with an MEP contracting company, which is a mandatory requirement.
• Good understanding of UAE accounting practices and VAT legislation.
• Hands-on experience using accounting software such as Tally, QuickBooks, or similar platforms.
• Practical knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoicing, reconciliations, and financial record management.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Attested educational certificates will be viewed as an added advantage.
Preferred Qualifications :
• A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Experience in project accounting, budgeting, and cost control within construction or MEP projects.
• Strong analytical abilities and excellent attention to detail.
• The ability to work independently while meeting reporting deadlines.
