About this role:
Landscape Design & Planning –
Develop creative and functional landscape designs for public spaces, commercial properties, and residential developments.
Project Conceptualization & Visualization –
Create detailed site plans, sketches, and 3D renderings using CAD software to present design concepts.
Environmental & Sustainability Integration –
Incorporate sustainable landscaping solutions, including native plant selection, water-efficient irrigation systems, and eco-friendly materials.
Site Analysis & Feasibility Studies –
Conduct site assessments, analyzing topography, soil conditions, climate, and ecological factors to determine project feasibility.
Urban Planning & Public Space Development –
Collaborate with city planners and architects to design landscapes that enhance urban environments and promote green spaces.
Irrigation & Drainage System Design –
Develop water-efficient irrigation and drainage plans to ensure plant health while conserving resources.
Collaboration with Architects & Engineers –
Work closely with architectural and engineering teams to integrate landscape features into broader infrastructure projects.
Budgeting & Cost Estimation –
Prepare cost estimates, material lists, and budget plans to ensure projects remain financially viable.
Regulatory Compliance & Permitting –
Ensure that designs adhere to local zoning laws, environmental regulations, and industry standards.
Construction Oversight & Quality Control –
Supervise landscape construction projects, ensuring design integrity, material quality, and compliance with specifications.
Client Consultation & Presentation –
Communicate design proposals to clients, stakeholders, and decision-makers, incorporating feedback into final plans.
Biodiversity & Green Infrastructure Planning –
Design wildlife-friendly landscapes, rooftop gardens, and green corridors to enhance urban biodiversity.
Innovative Landscape Solutions –
Research and implement the latest trends in landscape architecture, sustainable urban design, and climate-responsive planning.
Project Management & Timeline Coordination –
Oversee project execution, ensuring that work progresses on schedule and within budget.

Collaborate with urban planners, civil engineers, and construction teams to integrate landscaping into broader infrastructure projects.
Irrigation & Drainage Planning –
Design efficient irrigation systems that promote plant health while minimizing water waste and runoff.
Project Budgeting & Cost Estimation –
Prepare cost estimates, material lists, and budget breakdowns to ensure financial feasibility.
Regulatory Compliance & Permitting –
Ensure designs adhere to zoning laws, building codes, environmental regulations, and sustainability standards.
Client Consultation & Stakeholder Engagement –
Present landscape designs to clients, gather feedback, and refine proposals to align with project requirements.
Supervise Landscape Construction –
Oversee on-site execution, ensuring that landscaping projects meet design specifications and quality standards.
Integrate Green Infrastructure –
Plan and implement biodiversity-friendly designs, rooftop gardens, and urban green spaces to enhance environmental sustainability.
Monitor Project Progress & Deadlines –
Ensure that landscaping projects stay on schedule and within budget, addressing challenges as they arise.
Innovate & Research New Trends –
Stay updated on the latest advancements in landscape architecture, urban ecology, and smart landscaping technologies.

In addition to all job specific responsibilities, all employees are required to adhere to all Aldar Estates and Basatin’shealth, safety and environmental (HSE) policies, procedures, practices, and relevant legal and statutory health, safety and environmental requirements and obligations. All employees are personally responsible to familiarize themselves with these policies, procedures, practices, updates, etc. Basatin’s HSE department regularly updates existing and introduce new policies, procedures and practices and each employee is personally responsible to ensure they stay updated and compliant with all such updates and new additions.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree (Mandatory):
Bachelor’s Degree in Landscape Architecture (BLA) or Bachelor of Science in Landscape Architecture (BSLA)
Master’s Degree (Preferred but not mandatory):
Master’s in Landscape Architecture (MLA) – Ideal for advanced design expertise, sustainability planning, and urban development projects.
Minimum 5–10 years of experience in landscape architecture, urban planning, or site development (depending on project scale and complexity).
Proven experience in designing, planning, and executing landscaping projects for commercial, residential, and public spaces.
Strong ability to create functional, aesthetically pleasing, and sustainable landscape designs for urban, commercial, and residential spaces.
Expertise in site planning, master planning, and land-use analysis to optimize outdoor spaces.
Ability to blend natural elements with built environments while maintaining environmental balance.
Advanced skills in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, GIS, Lumion, and other landscape design software for digital modeling and rendering.
Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign for creating presentations and visualizations.
Strong understanding of BIM (Building Information Modeling) for large-scale projects.
Knowledge of green infrastructure planning, ecological restoration, and sustainable landscaping techniques.
Experience in designing water-efficient irrigation systems, xeriscaping, and rainwater harvesting solutions.
Understanding of LEED certification principles and how to integrate them into landscaping projects.
Strong expertise in irrigation planning, water management, and drainage system optimization.
Ability to design efficient stormwater management solutions to prevent erosion and flooding.
in overseeing landscape construction, supervising contractors, and ensuring design compliance.
Ability to track project timelines, allocate resources efficiently, and manage costs.
Strong leadership skills in coordinating with multidisciplinary teams including architects, engineers, and urban planners.of local zoning laws, building codes, and environmental regulations affecting landscape development.
Ability to prepare and submit permit applications for landscaping projects
Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with clients, government agencies, and developers on project requirements.
Experience in presenting design concepts and proposals to stakeholders and decision-makers.

Knowledge of native plant species, soil conservation techniques, and habitat restoration for ecological sustainability.
