Job Summary:
The Production Planning Engineer is responsible for planning, scheduling, and monitoring fabrication activities to ensure timely project delivery. The role involves coordinating with production, procurement, design, and site teams to maintain smooth workflow and optimal resource utilization.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare detailed production plans based on project requirements and deadlines
Develop weekly and monthly fabrication schedules
Coordinate with design and project teams to align production activities
Plan material requirements as per drawings and BOQ
Coordinate with procurement to ensure timely material availability
Monitor production progress and identify delays or bottlenecks
Prepare Daily Production Reports (DPR) and progress tracking reports
Maintain production logs and planning records
Ensure proper workflow from cutting, fabrication, assembly to dispatch
Coordinate with QA/QC for inspection and quality compliance
Optimize manpower, machinery, and resources for maximum efficiency
Follow up on pending activities to meet delivery timelines
