Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to manage financial transactions, payroll processing, and reporting functions within a fast-paced engineering and construction environment. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely financial operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Management & Accounting:
Maintain and update accounting records, ledgers, and financial statements
Handle daily accounting activities including accounts payable, receivable, and journal entries
Perform bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow
Ensure accurate recording of financial transactions in accounting systems
Payroll & WPS Handling:
Process employee payroll through WPS (Wage Protection System)
Ensure compliance with UAE labor laws and salary disbursement regulations
Maintain payroll records including overtime, deductions, and allowances
Billing & Cost Control:
Prepare and track invoices, payment collections, and outstanding receivables
Coordinate with QS and project teams for billing-related documentation
Monitor project expenses and support cost control activities
Petty Cash & Expense Management:
Manage petty cash transactions and maintain proper records
Verify and process expense claims and reimbursements
Ensure proper documentation and approvals for all expenses
Reporting & Compliance:
Prepare monthly financial reports, MIS reports, and management summaries
Assist in audit preparation and ensure compliance with company policies
Maintain VAT records and assist in VAT filing processes
Ensure documentation is aligned with regulatory and internal audit standards
Coordination & System Handling:
Coordinate with HR for payroll inputs and employee records
Work closely with procurement and finance teams for payment processing
Maintain proper filing system for all financial documents
Use accounting software such as QuickBooks / Tally / ERP systems
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting / Finance / Commerce
