Key Responsibilities:
Tax Data Assets & Governance:
Manage the full lifecycle of tax data assets, including acquisition, validation, cleansing, storage, and evaluation.
Establish and maintain data governance frameworks ensuring data quality, security, and controlled access.
Maintain centralized data dictionaries, metadata repositories, and structured tax data models.
Risk Data Analysis & Modelling:
Perform advanced statistical and exploratory analysis of tax data to identify compliance risks and performance trends.
Develop predictive and analytical models supporting risk-based tax assessments, audit targeting, and tax gap monitoring.
Evaluate model performance and continuously improve predictive risk modelling frameworks.
Dashboards, Analytics & Strategic Insights:
Design advanced data dashboards and analytics visualizations to support operational monitoring and policy decisions.
Prepare detailed analytical reports for senior leadership and regulatory stakeholders.
Identify patterns, trends, and risk indicators across different economic sectors.
Stakeholder Engagement & Data Requirements:
Collaborate with internal departments to identify analytics requirements and data sources.
Identify missing or incomplete tax data needed for accurate compliance risk analysis.
Support alignment of operational processes with analytics-driven decision-making.
Tools, Systems & International Data Analysis:
Work with IT teams to enhance analytics platforms, predictive modelling tools, and automated reporting systems.
Analyze tax data received through international tax information exchange programs to evaluate compliance risks.
Support to Internal & External Requests:
Provide analytical insights for urgent regulatory or operational inquiries.
Prepare analytical reports and risk analysis for international cooperation and regulatory requests.
Requirements & Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field.
Master’s degree in Data Science, Analytics, or a related discipline is preferred.
Experience:
16+ years of professional experience in data analytics, statistical modelling, or risk analytics.
Experience working within tax administration, government agencies, finance, or regulatory compliance environments.
Technical Skills:
Advanced expertise in data analytics, statistical modelling, and predictive analytics.
Experience working with large datasets, risk modelling frameworks, and advanced data analysis techniques.
Strong experience with Business Intelligence tools, dashboards, and analytics reporting platforms.
Ability to design predictive models for compliance risk assessment and decision support systems.
Understanding of data governance, metadata management, and enterprise data frameworks.
Certifications (Preferred):
Data analytics or data science certifications
Risk management certifications
Data governance or enterprise data management certifications
Advanced analytics or statistical modelling credentials
Soft Skills:
Strong analytical thinking and data interpretation capabilities.
Ability to translate complex data insights into clear strategic recommendations.
Excellent stakeholder communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to coordinate with both technical teams and senior leadership.
Average Market Salary (Estimated):
QAR 40,000 – QAR 55,000 per month (Based on senior analytics and government risk modelling roles in Qatar with 15+ years experience)
