Key Responsibilities:
Develop and manage project schedules using Primavera P6 for EPC construction projects.
Establish Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) and Organizational Breakdown Structures (OBS).
Create and maintain project planning matrices and project control frameworks.
Monitor project progress and identify critical activities, delays, and potential bottlenecks.
Prepare and manage Level III and Level IV project schedules and planning reports.
Coordinate closely with engineering, execution, procurement, contracts, finance, and client teams.
Support resource allocation, workforce planning, and cost monitoring activities.
Ensure project schedules align with project specifications, quality requirements, and HSE standards.
Provide progress reporting and project performance analysis to management.
Assist in planning strategies to improve project efficiency and schedule performance.

Requirements & Qualifications:
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
Experience

Planning Engineer
5–8 years of professional experience in project planning and scheduling.

Technical Skills:
Strong expertise in Primavera P6 project scheduling software.
Experience developing WBS / OBS structures and project planning frameworks.
Strong knowledge of project controls, cost monitoring, and schedule management.
Experience preparing Level III / Level IV project schedules and progress reports.

Professional Skills:
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong coordination abilities across multidisciplinary project teams.
Ability to work with engineering, procurement, contracts, and client stakeholders.

Industry Experience
Experience working on EPC oil and gas or large construction projects is highly preferred.

Soft Skills
Strong reporting and documentation skills.
Effective communication and project coordination abilities.
Ability to work within fast-paced project environments.

Based on industry benchmarks for planning professionals in EPC oil and gas construction projects in the UAE:
Planning Engineer: AED 15,000 – AED 22,000 per month
