Key Responsibilities
Design and implement enterprise backup and recovery solutions for critical IT infrastructure.
Manage backup systems to ensure reliable data protection and availability.
Monitor backup jobs, storage utilization, and system performance to maintain backup integrity.
Perform regular recovery testing and disaster recovery validation procedures.
Ensure backup processes align with business continuity and disaster recovery policies.
Troubleshoot backup failures and optimize backup performance.
Maintain documentation for backup architecture, policies, and recovery procedures.
Coordinate with infrastructure and application teams to support data protection strategies.
Ensure compliance with security, regulatory, and corporate data protection standards.
Support continuous improvement of backup infrastructure and recovery processes.
Requirements & Qualifications
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related technical discipline.
Experience
8–10 years of professional experience in system backup administration, data protection, or infrastructure engineering.
Technical Skills
Strong experience designing and managing enterprise backup and recovery systems.
Knowledge of backup infrastructure architecture and storage management.
Experience with disaster recovery planning and business continuity frameworks.
Experience monitoring and maintaining enterprise backup systems and backup storage platforms.
Professional Skills
Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities.
Ability to manage large-scale enterprise infrastructure environments.
Strong documentation and reporting capabilities.
Soft Skills
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Additional Requirements
Candidates must currently be based in the UAE.
