A leading oil and gas organization is seeking an experienced Yard Engineering Lead to provide technical guidance and engineering support during fabrication and commissioning activities in Doha, Qatar. This role plays a critical part in ensuring engineering excellence, safety compliance, and smooth coordination between construction sites and design offices on major energy projects.
The successful candidate will act as the key technical interface, resolving engineering issues, supporting FAT/SAT activities, and ensuring all work aligns with international standards and project specifications. Key Responsibilities
Provide engineering support to fabrication yard construction and commissioning activities
Act as the interface between site teams and the design office to resolve engineering issues
Ensure compliance with international standards and project specifications
Attend FATs/SATs and support field commissioning activities
Coordinate with multi-disciplinary engineering teams
Ensure smooth handover of systems to operations
Support technical decision-making across engineering disciplines
Maintain safety, quality, and operational compliance on-site
Requirements & Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mandatory)
Minimum 8 years of relevant engineering experience in major oil & gas project environments
Strong knowledge of engineering execution, design standards, and specifications
Understanding of safety criteria and offshore facilities design
Experience in construction and operations support
Broad technical knowledge of:
Equipment systems

Structural engineering
