Responsibilities:
Create detailed technical drawings and 3D models of furniture designs using AutoCAD.
Develop and optimize furniture designs for manufacturing efficiency, cost, and material usage.
Ensure all furniture items meet quality, functionality, and safety standards.
Collaborate with production teams to solve design and manufacturing challenges.
Conduct prototype testing and make necessary design adjustments.
Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and technologies to innovate new furniture solutions.
Prepare documentation including specifications, drawings, and work instructions.
Review supplier designs and provide technical guidance when needed.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or relevant field.
Proven experience as a Furniture Engineer, Product Designer, or similar role.
Strong proficiency in AutoCAD; knowledge of other CAD software is a plus.
Understanding of furniture materials, manufacturing processes, and ergonomics.
Attention to detail and ability to produce precise technical drawings.
Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
