What you'll be doing
To lead and optimize the credit control function by ensuring effective receivables management, minimizing overdue collections, and delivering accurate insights into receivables health. The role collaborates with key business verticals—Fashion, Beauty, Multi-brand, and Homeware—to drive continuous improvement in credit processes and support overall financial performance.
Collections Management: Proactively engage with key stakeholders across various sub-verticals (Fashion, Beauty, Multi-brand, Homeware, etc.) to drive collection efforts, ensuring that payments are received promptly and in accordance with company terms.
Credit Control Policy Adherence: Ensure strict adherence to Chalhoub Group's credit control policies across all business verticals. Monitor and enforce compliance with credit terms, credit limits, and collection protocols to mitigate financial risk.
Receivables Health & Dashboards: Prepare and present dashboards that track the health of receivables, focusing on overdue amounts, aging analysis, and collection performance.
Project Management & Stakeholder
Communication: Act as the project manager for key credit control initiatives, providing clear status updates, managing timelines, and ensuring cross-functional collaboration to drive initiatives to completion.
Reporting & Analysis: Conduct thorough analysis of accounts receivable trends, overdue reports, and collection performance. Provide actionable insights and recommendations for process improvements and risk mitigation.
Continuous Improvement: Continuously assess and improve credit control processes, leveraging best practices to drive operational efficiencies and reduce overdue receivables.
Team Collaboration: Collaborate with internal teams including Commercial, Commercial Finance, Country Management, to resolve disputes, ensure compliance, and improve customer payment cycles.
What you’ll need to succeed :
Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or related field. Professional qualifications such as CPA, or similar will be an advantage.
Minimum 7- 10 years of experience in credit control, collections, and accounts receivable, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
Knowledge of credit control procedures and collections.
Strong experience working with large, complex organizations, preferably in retail or luxury sectors.
Proven ability to engage effectively with cross-functional teams and senior leadership to drive results.
Excellent project management skills, with experience in leading process improvements and projects.
Strong analytical skills and proficiency in reporting tools such as Excel, ERP systems, and dashboard software.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage stakeholder relationships and resolve conflicts effectively.
High attention to detail, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
