Davidson Management Consultants have been mandated to recruit a western trained, native Arabic speaking Lead Clinical Social Worker for their client in Abu Dhabi, UAE which is a specialized behavioral health / mental health facility. We are looking for Clinical Social Workers with a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work followed by a Master’s Degree in Social Work and a minimum of 8 to 10 years of post-qualification experience, including prior supervisory or leadership experience within a mental health, behavioral health, or hospital setting.
The Lead Clinical Social Worker will be responsible for overseeing the clinical social work function while delivering advanced psychosocial care to patients with mental health and behavioral health conditions. Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments evaluating social, emotional, psychological, and environmental factors affecting patient wellbeing, including assessment of risk factors such as self-harm, harm to others, abuse, neglect, and safeguarding concerns.Lead the development and implementation of individualized psychosocial treatment plans in collaboration with psychiatrists, nurses, occupational therapists, psychologists, and multidisciplinary teams. Provide individual, group, and family therapeutic interventions using evidence-based modalities, supportive counseling, and crisis intervention frameworks.Provide immediate intervention during psychiatric emergencies and psychosocial crises including suicidal ideation, domestic violence, abuse, and acute behavioral escalation. Develop individualized crisis management and safety plans for high-risk patients.Serve as the lead coordinator for discharge planning and continuity of care, ensuring safe and structured transition from hospital to home, outpatient services, or lower-acuity care settings. Arrange post-discharge support including follow-up appointments, home health services, rehabilitation pathways, and community-based interventions.
Act as a patient advocate within the healthcare system, safeguarding patient rights, confidentiality, informed consent, and ethical treatment standards. Support patients and families in understanding diagnoses, treatment plans, psychosocial challenges, and available support systems.Coordinate access to internal and external support resources including housing assistance, financial aid, educational services, legal/social support, and community rehabilitation programs. Maintain strong relationships with community agencies and support organizations to facilitate holistic patient care.Provide leadership and supervision to junior Clinical Social Workers and case management staff, including mentoring, clinical guidance, caseload oversight, and performance development. Participate in departmental audits, quality improvement initiatives, policy development, and program enhancement activities. Ensure all documentation, progress notes, and reports are maintained accurately and in compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards.
Salary : Aed 40,000 per month plus family benefits (Salary mentioned in the advertisement is indicative. The final offer lies at the discretion of the client and will be made after completion of interviews).
