To manage purchasing activities for our shipyard operations. The role involves sourcing materials, equipment, and services required for shipbuilding, maintenance, and repair projects while ensuring cost efficiency, quality, and timely delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
Source and procure marine materials, spare parts, and equipment
Obtain quotations, negotiate prices, and finalize purchase orders
Coordinate with engineering, operations, and warehouse teams
Ensure timely delivery of materials to meet project deadlines
Maintain relationships with suppliers and evaluate vendor performance
Monitor inventory levels and support stock planning
Ensure compliance with company policies and procurement procedures
Prepare procurement reports, cost analysis, and documentation
Handle import/export documentation when required
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Procurement Officer, preferably in a shipyard or marine industry
Strong knowledge of marine equipment, spare parts, and materials
Good negotiation and supplier management skills
Familiarity with procurement processes and documentation
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Strong analytical and organizational skills
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field
Professional certification (e.g., procurement or supply chain) is an advantage
