To lead the accounting function across our construction and manufacturing operations, reporting directly to the Group CFO.
The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in U.A.E. financial regulations, VAT, IFRS, project accounting, and manufacturing costing, and will play a critical role in ensuring accurate financial reporting and supporting senior management decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee day-to-day accounting operations (GL, AP, AR, Fixed Assets, cash management).
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with IFRS.
Monitor project profitability, cost allocation, and revenue recognition.
Manage manufacturing costing, including BOM, WIP valuation, and cost variance analysis.
Establish and maintain strong internal financial controls.
Lead annual budgeting and periodic forecasting processes.
Track performance against budgets and provide variance analysis.
Supervise project accounting, billing, subcontractor payments, and retentions.
Ensure compliance with IFRS 15 – Revenue from Contracts with Customers.
Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team.
Drive process improvements and support digital transformation initiatives.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business decision-making.
Key Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Professional certification CPA, CMA, or ACCA (highly preferred).
Minimum 10 years of accounting experience, preferably in construction and/or manufacturing within the U.A.E.
Strong knowledge of IFRS, project accounting, manufacturing costing, and U.A.E. VAT regulations.
Hands-on experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, YARDI, or similar)
Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail.
Proven leadership and stakeholder management capabilities.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
