In this Warehouse Operator position
Drive truck (light or heavy) within a city or industrial area to transport and deliver goods to and from designated locations, may include long distances
Loading and unloading of goods
Manage freight documents
Understand traffic patterns, alternative routes, traffic regulations and driving conditions in order to meet customer and organizational time
requirements
Ability to use and understand supporting route planning technology
Assist with meeting technical and operational conditions for the truck and loading unit
Support with preventive maintenance of the vehicle and minor in-transit repairs in case of failures
Report any suspected breach of security or unusual happenings to supervisor
Follow legislative/ regulatory processes and company driving standards
Check and escalate recurring routine issues faced during delivery to supervisor
Stakeholders
Explain facts, practices, policies, etc. to others within the organization adhering to narrowly defined procedures, standards and guidelines
Support and interact primarily with colleagues of own team
Communicate information that requires some explanation or interpretation
Address task-related issues appropriately to maintain work relationships.
Management Responsibilities
Individual contributor without direct responsibility for leading others.
