We’re Hiring | Linux L2 Engineer – Dubai 🇦🇪
An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Linux L2 Engineer to join a professional IT services team in Dubai. This role is suited for candidates with strong hands-on expertise in managing, supporting, and troubleshooting enterprise-level Linux environments in production settings.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining system stability, resolving OS-level issues, and supporting critical infrastructure while collaborating closely with L3 teams and other stakeholders.

Job Responsibilities:
Providing Level 2 support for Linux servers including CentOS, Ubuntu, and RHEL
Performing Linux server installation, configuration, administration, and maintenance
Managing users, permissions, access control, and security configurations
Monitoring system performance to ensure uptime, availability, and reliability
Troubleshooting OS-related incidents and conducting root cause analysis
Managing services, packages, patches, updates, and system upgrades
Handling incident, problem, and change management activities
Coordinating with L3 support teams, vendors, and internal stakeholders
Maintaining system documentation, procedures, and SOPs

Required Skills & Experience:
3–6 years of hands-on experience in Linux system administration
Strong working knowledge of CentOS, Ubuntu, and RHEL
Good understanding of shell scripting (basic to intermediate)
Solid knowledge of networking fundamentals such as DNS, TCP/IP, and SSH
Experience with file systems, disk management, and LVM
Familiarity with system monitoring tools and performance tuning
Experience working in production support environments
ITIL process knowledge is an added advantage

Good to Have:
Exposure to VMware or virtualization technologies
Basic understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure
RHCSA or RHCE certification (preferred but not mandatory)
