Job Description
The Air Quality Specialist will be responsible for analyzing data /reading received from analyzers, conduct research on air pollutant emissions and the types of pollutants in different areas, prepare technical monthly /annual reports, documents, and presentations on air quality and Ensure compliance with air quality regulations and standards.
Key Accountabilities
Analyze and interpret data from air quality monitoring and observation
Conduct research on air pollutant emissions and the types of pollutants in different areas
Develop air quality management plans and policies
Prepare technical reports, documents, and presentations on air quality
Ensure compliance with air quality regulations and standards
Cooperate with environmental scientists, planners, hazardous waste technicians, engineers, and other specialists
Evaluate the effectiveness of air quality management plans and make necessary revisions
Advise government officials, businesses, or other groups on air quality issues, including regulatory compliance
Recommend solutions to reduce air pollution, such as changes in technology, processes, or materials
Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of air monitoring equipment
Collect and analyze air samples for quality control
Prepare air quality reports based on findings
Ensure compliance with local, state and federal air quality standards
Provide recommendations for improving air quality
Collaborating with cross-functional teams for air quality control strategies
Conduct air quality training for staff members

Proficiency in the use of air quality monitoring software and technology.

Effective communication and report-writing abilities.
Experience using Geographic Information Systems (GIS) for data analysis.
Technical certification in air quality monitoring or instrumentation.
Knowledge of air pollutants and their impact on health and the environment.
Strong attention to detail and precision in data collection.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
