The Electrical QC Inspector is responsible for conducting inspections, tests, and quality assurance procedures to ensure that all electrical systems, installations, and components comply with industry standards, project specifications, safety regulations, and company quality requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Inspect electrical installations, components, and systems to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and applicable standards (e.g., NEC, IEC, IEEE).
Perform routine and final inspections of electrical works such as cable laying, terminations, panel installations, earthing systems, lighting systems, etc.
Monitor and verify electrical testing activities (e.g., insulation resistance, continuity, functional testing, loop checking).
Ensure proper implementation of quality control procedures and work instructions.
Review and verify Material Inspection Requests (MIRs), Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), Method Statements, and Work Procedures.
Qualifications:
Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
Knowledge of national and international codes and standards (e.g., NEC, IEC, IEEE, ISO 9001).
Familiarity with inspection tools and testing equipment.
Strong understanding of electrical drawings, schematics, and single-line diagrams.
Good communication and report-writing skills.
Certification such as ISO 9001:2015 (Lead Auditor), or relevant QC certifications (e.g., from ASNT, NDT, or local QA/QC bodies) is a plus.
