Reports To: Medical Director / Head of Department
Salary Range: AED 65,000 – 95,000 per month (depending on qualifications and experience)
The Consultant / Specialist Pediatrician is responsible for providing comprehensive medical care to infants, children, and adolescents. The role involves diagnosing and treating pediatric illnesses, managing preventive care programs, guiding families on child health, and ensuring the highest standards of clinical excellence and patient safety.
⚕️ Key Responsibilities:
Provide outpatient and inpatient pediatric consultations and follow-up care.
Diagnose, treat, and manage a wide range of pediatric diseases and conditions.
Monitor growth, development, and immunization schedules of children.
Manage emergent and chronic conditions in pediatric patients.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (nurses, dieticians, specialists) for holistic care.
Provide guidance and education to parents on preventive care, nutrition, and development milestones.
Maintain accurate and timely medical records in compliance with hospital policies.
Participate in quality assurance, audits, and clinical improvement initiatives.
Mentor and support junior doctors, nurses, and residents.
Stay updated with current advances in pediatric medicine and hospital protocols.
🎓 Qualifications & Experience:
MBBS with MD / DNB / Board Certification in Pediatrics or equivalent qualification.
Fellowship in Pediatrics (preferred for consultant level).
Valid license or eligibility for licensing with DHA / MOH / HAAD / DOH / DHCC.
Minimum 5 years of post-specialization experience (for Specialist) or 8–10 years (for Consultant).
Proven experience in managing general pediatric and neonatal cases.
