The Joinery Team Leader is responsible for supervising a team of carpenters and joiners to ensure timely and high-quality completion of woodwork or joinery projects. This role involves interpreting drawings, assigning tasks, ensuring proper material usage, and maintaining safety and quality standards on site or in the workshop.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and supervise a team of joiners and carpenters in the execution of furniture, woodwork, or interior fit-out tasks.

Read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and shop drawings for joinery works.

Allocate daily tasks and ensure proper workflow and productivity.

Monitor quality of workmanship and ensure finished products meet design and finish standards.

Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, and designers to clarify job requirements.

Ensure tools, machinery, and materials are used properly and safely.

Maintain inventory of materials and ensure timely requisitions.

Enforce safety practices and ensure compliance with HSE regulations in the workshop or on site.

Provide hands-on support when necessary for complex or urgent tasks.

Train and mentor junior workers or apprentices.

Qualifications:

ITI / Vocational Certification or Diploma in Carpentry, Wood Technology, or related trade.

5+ years of joinery or carpentry experience, including at least 1–2 years in a supervisory role.

Strong understanding of joinery techniques, materials, and tools.
