The HSE Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring health, safety, and environmental policies and programs to ensure a safe workplace and compliance with all regulatory requirements. This role plays a key part in promoting a safety-first culture across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and enforce HSE policies, procedures, and programs in accordance with local, national, and industry-specific regulations.
Lead risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies to reduce workplace hazards.
Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with safety standards.
Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
Organize HSE training programs for employees and contractors to raise awareness and build a strong safety culture.
Maintain and update safety documentation including incident reports, training records, and regulatory filings.
Liaise with external agencies, auditors, and regulatory bodies during inspections and audits.
Promote environmental sustainability by overseeing waste management, pollution control, and energy use.
Prepare HSE performance reports and present findings to senior management.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement in safety practices and performance.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA, or equivalent HSE certification is mandatory.
Minimum 5–8 years of experience in HSE management, preferably in construction, oil & gas, manufacturing, or industrial environments.
In-depth knowledge of local and international safety and environmental regulations.
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to handle emergencies and high-pressure situations.
