We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Land Surveyor to carry out accurate measurements of land, construction layouts, and boundary lines. The Land Surveyor will play a crucial role in planning and executing engineering and construction projects by collecting spatial data, setting out structures, and ensuring compliance with project specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct field surveys to determine property boundaries, topographic data, and site conditions
Use survey equipment such as total stations, GPS, levels, and theodolites
Interpret architectural and engineering plans to set out reference points and construction markers
Prepare accurate site plans, maps, and reports using CAD or GIS software
Verify the accuracy of survey data including measurements and calculations
Collaborate with engineers, architects, and construction teams to provide surveying input
Maintain survey instruments and ensure calibration is up to date
Ensure all surveying work complies with legal, safety, and environmental regulations
Document and maintain detailed records of survey results and site visits
Assist in resolving discrepancies between design and actual site conditions
Qualifications:
ITI / Vocational certification, Diploma, or Engineering Degree in Civil Engineering, Surveying, or a related field
Proven experience as a Land Surveyor in construction or civil projects
Familiarity with surveying instruments and CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D)
Understanding of construction methods, maps, drawings, and legal documentation
Good mathematical, analytical, and observational skills
Physical stamina for fieldwork in various weather conditions
Valid driving license may be required (for site travel)
