Key Responsibilities:
Review and analyze project drawings, specifications, and tender documents
Prepare detailed quantity take-offs and cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor services
Develop bills of quantities (BOQ) and cost schedules
Collaborate with design, procurement, and project management teams to understand project requirements
Identify and assess project risks and contingencies for accurate cost forecasting
Prepare and submit competitive bids and proposals to clients
Maintain and update historical cost data and estimation databases
Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors for pricing and quotations
Assist in value engineering and cost optimization during project planning
Support contract negotiations and provide cost-related input
Monitor project costs during execution and provide updates as needed
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field
2–5 years of experience in estimation or cost engineering in construction or engineering projects
Proficiency in estimation software and tools (e.g., MS Excel, CostX, Bluebeam)
Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and industry standards
