The BIM Architecture Modeler is responsible for creating, managing, and maintaining Building Information Models (BIM) for architectural projects. They work closely with architects, engineers, and project managers to develop accurate 3D digital representations of building designs, ensuring coordination, precision, and adherence to project specifications and deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop detailed 3D BIM models for architectural projects using software such as Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, or similar.
Collaborate with architects and design teams to translate 2D drawings and sketches into accurate 3D models.
Ensure models include all necessary architectural details, components, and annotations.
Coordinate with structural, MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing), and other disciplines to ensure integrated project delivery.
Review and validate models for accuracy, consistency, and compliance with project standards.
Update models based on design changes and client feedback.
Assist in creating visualizations, renderings, and walkthroughs for presentations.
Maintain organized project files and documentation related to BIM models.
Follow BIM standards, protocols, and best practices.
Support construction teams with digital models and clash detection during the construction phase.
Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, or related field.
5+ Years experience as a BIM Modeler or BIM Technician in architectural projects.
Proficiency in BIM software such as Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, SketchUp, etc.
Strong understanding of architectural design, construction processes, and building codes.
Ability to interpret architectural drawings and specifications.
Excellent attention to detail and technical accuracy.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Knowledge of clash detection and coordination processes.
