Key Responsibilities:
Assist faculty in delivering both face-to-face and online tutorials for courses in Computer Engineering and Electrical Engineering.
Develop and share at least 15 solved tutorial problems per assigned course with students prior to the final week of the semester to enhance understanding.
Supervise and conduct laboratory sessions, ensuring adherence to health and safety protocols at all times.
Monitor student progress, providing support in evaluation, grading, and feedback as required by course instructors.
Support students in preparing for and participating in national and international competitions by offering technical guidance, coaching, and mentorship.
Contribute to achieving top placements in competitions through consistent mentorship and project support.
Oversee and mentor students working on design-based projects, ensuring they meet functional requirements and design constraints within project deadlines.
Collect feedback on student projects, report obstacles faced, and propose action plans for future improvements.
Assist students with debugging, troubleshooting, and refining their projects.
Support faculty and department advisors in communicating with returning students regarding course registration requirements for the upcoming Fall semester.
Help resolve registration issues to ensure a high percentage of returning student enrollments.
Facilitate new students’ transition during registration, particularly for Spring semester intake.
Contribute to undergraduate program re-accreditation efforts by assisting with documentation, data collection, and evidence compilation.
Maintain and update course portfolios and support continuous improvement initiatives aligned with program learning outcomes.
Ensure laboratory safety by maintaining a clean and organized lab environment and enforcing safety protocols during all sessions.
Monitor and manage inventory of lab consumables, electronic components, and other materials required for courses and projects.
Perform basic maintenance, calibration, and operational checks on laboratory equipment to ensure proper functionality.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical, Computer, or Biomedical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with faculty and students.
• Familiarity with instructional platforms, lab tools, and design software relevant to the department
• Excellent programming, debugging, and troubleshooting skills.
Preferred Skills
• Experience in competitive engineering design challenges.
• Familiarity with ABET accreditation processes.
• Proficiency in laboratory management and safety protocols.
• Prior tutoring or teaching experience is a plus.
