The ELV Engineer is responsible for designing, installing, configuring, and maintaining low-voltage systems such as security, fire alarm, CCTV, access control, Public Address (PA) systems, and building automation systems. The role involves coordinating with clients, contractors, and other engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of ELV systems in various projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare detailed design drawings, specifications, and BOQs (Bill of Quantities) for ELV systems.
Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of ELV systems on-site.
Conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with technical standards and safety regulations.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to low-voltage systems.
Coordinate with other engineering disciplines and project teams to ensure proper integration.
Maintain documentation of system configurations, test results, and maintenance procedures.
Ensure timely procurement of ELV equipment and materials.
Review and approve vendor and subcontractor submittals.
Stay updated with latest ELV technologies and industry standards.
Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Communication Engineering.
Proven experience (5+ years) in designing and implementing ELV systems.
Knowledge of relevant standards and codes (such as NFPA, IEC, BS).
Familiarity with AutoCAD or other design software.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
