What you'll be doing
Designing Technical Solutions: Create and design technical solutions that bring to life the vision for application, data and cloud platforms. This involves understanding business requirements and translating them into actionable technical tasks.
Implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Write scalable Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform and relevant technologies. Automate platform deployment and management processes to ensure efficiency and consistency.
Enhancing Platform Automation: Continuously improve platform automation by implementing best practices, enhancing security measures, and optimizing operational processes.
Writing Code: Develop Python code or scripts to accomplish tasks related to platform management, automation, and integration with other systems.
Utilizing Cloud Platforms: Work on cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and utilize relevant services to deploy and manage platforms effectiispvely.
Enhancing Observability: Actively utilize monitoring tools for setting up proactive alerts for issue detection and resolution.
Collaborating with Teams: Partner closely with product managers, architects, and other engineers to ensure seamless integration and operation of platforms.
Ensuring Quality: Guarantee the quality of platform solutions through proper testing, documentation, and adherence to best practices and standards.
Continuous Learning: Keep your technical knowledge up to date through training, initiatives, proof of concepts (PoCs), and other learning methods.
What you’ll need to succeed
Python and Bash Skills: Good understanding of Python programming language and Bash for scripting tasks.
Linux and Networking Knowledge: Experience in Linux system administration and networking concepts to manage platform infrastructure effectively.
Container Technology: Experience working with container technologies like Docker for containerization and Kubernates for orchestration.
CI/CD Experience: Familiarity with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using tools like Gitlab CI or other automation tools.
Cloud Technologies: Good understanding of cloud platforms, preferably Amazon web services and Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including cloud services, infrastructure management, and deployment methodologies.
Monitoring and Observability: Proficiency in monitoring and observability practices, including experience with tools such as Datadog or similar platforms for real-time performance monitoring, log management, and alerting.
Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders, translating business requirements into technical solutions.
