Key Responsibilities:
Represent the client in all project-related activities, ensuring design, procurement, and construction meet quality, safety, and contractual standards.
Oversee the review of engineering designs, technical submittals, and contractor deliverables.
Manage the project from the consultancy side, coordinating with contractors, consultants, and stakeholders to ensure timely progress and compliance.
Monitor and report on schedule, budget, risks, and overall project performance.
Provide expert advice on technical matters, design coordination, and construction methodologies.
Review and validate contractor claims, change orders, progress payments, and contractual correspondence.
Facilitate coordination between different technical disciplines (civil, electrical, mechanical) involved in overhead lines, substations, and power generation systems.
Participate in project audits, risk assessments, and strategic planning sessions.
Ensure project documentation is complete, compliant, and properly archived.
Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering (Master’s degree is a plus).
PMP certification or equivalent is preferred.
Minimum of 10 years’ experience managing power infrastructure projects in a consultancy role.
Strong understanding of international standards (IEC, IEEE, etc.) and transmission/distribution engineering practices.
Experience working with EPC contract or similar contract forms.
Proven track record in delivering complex multi-disciplinary projects in the power sector.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Fluent in English; Arabic is a plus.
Familiar with project management tools and reporting platforms (Primavera, MS Project).
