Key Responsibilities:
As the successful candidate, you will be required to perform the following:
Monitor facility operating and business plan objectives to ensure alignment with Saudi Aramco’s environmental protection policies and all applicable environmental standards, GIs, and regulations.
Identify deviations and develop solutions to environmental issues to mitigate risks and enhance compliance with company and governmental regulations.
Conduct comprehensive GHG and environmental assessments, providing actionable recommendations.
Develop, review, and implement Greenhouse Gas (GHG) management strategies.
Conduct internal GHG assessments for facilities such as refineries, NGL fractionation plants, petrochemical plants, and lube manufacturing facilities.
Oversee solids and chemical disposals to ensure environmental safety and regulatory compliance.
Monitor air quality, wastewater, water conservation efforts, and waste management performance.
Develop, review, and deploy environmental management systems aligned with ISO 14001 standards.
Develop and maintain environmental procedures and guidelines.
Conduct internal environmental performance benchmarking within the oil and gas and refinery sectors.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Environmental Engineering.
Minimum of 17 years of relevant experience in oil & gas refineries, petrochemical industries.
EPI/QEP certification is preferred.
Strong knowledge of the oil & gas, refining industry, and associated environmental challenges and risks.
Familiarity with global and governmental environmental policies, regulations, and standards.
Expertise in technical sustainability data, calculation methodologies, and limitations.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills in environmental engineering.
Knowledge of ISO 14001 Environmental Management System and requirements.
Experience in developing decarbonization roadmaps, GHG emission baselines, and target setting.
