The Lighting Crew Member is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining lighting equipment to ensure optimal lighting conditions for productions, events, or shoots. The role requires technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to work as part of a team to deliver high-quality visual effects.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the setup and rigging of lighting equipment according to the director of photography or event requirements.
Operate lighting consoles and control systems during rehearsals and live events or shoots.
Troubleshoot and repair lighting equipment as needed.
Ensure all lighting equipment is handled safely and maintained properly.
Collaborate with the production team to execute lighting plans and adjustments.
Follow safety protocols and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
Assist in packing up and storing equipment after events or shoots.
Maintain detailed records of equipment usage and condition.
Qualifications & Skills:
Proven experience in lighting setup and operation in media, theater, or event production.
Knowledge of lighting equipment, control systems, and electrical safety.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment under deadlines.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy equipment.
Relevant certifications or training in lighting technology is a plus.
