The Project Director is responsible for leading the planning, execution, and delivery of large-scale projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget. This role involves strategic oversight, stakeholder management, resource allocation, and ensuring adherence to quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement project strategies, plans, and schedules aligned with organizational goals.
Lead, motivate, and manage project teams, including project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders.
Oversee project budgets, resource planning, and procurement activities.
Monitor project progress and make adjustments to ensure timely delivery.
Manage relationships with clients, vendors, consultants, and other stakeholders.
Ensure compliance with legal, safety, and quality standards.
Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation plans.
Prepare and present project reports to senior management and clients.
Drive continuous improvement in project management processes.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or related field; Master’s preferred.
Proven experience as a Project Director or senior project management role, with a track record of successfully managing large, complex projects.
PMP, PgMP, or equivalent project management certification is advantageous.
Strong leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and teams across different locations.
Knowledge of project management software and tools.
