The Head of Fitness Operations is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the fitness and wellness division, ensuring the delivery of high-quality fitness services, managing staff, and developing strategic initiatives to enhance member satisfaction and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement operational strategies for the fitness division to meet business goals.
Manage daily gym/fitness center operations, including scheduling, maintenance, and safety compliance.
Recruit, train, and supervise fitness staff, including trainers, instructors, and support staff.
Design and oversee fitness programs, classes, and personal training services.
Monitor and improve member engagement, satisfaction, and retention.
Manage budgets, billing, and financial reporting related to fitness operations.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Maintain equipment, facilities, and cleanliness standards.
Stay updated on industry trends and incorporate innovative fitness solutions.
Collaborate with marketing teams for promotional activities and membership drives.
Prepare reports and present performance metrics to senior management.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Sports Management, Physical Education, Fitness, or related field; relevant certifications (ACE, NASM, ACSM, etc.) preferred.
Proven experience (5+ years) in managing fitness centers, sports facilities, or wellness programs.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Knowledge of fitness equipment, safety standards, and industry best practices.
Ability to develop and implement strategic plans.
Budget management and financial acumen.
