An opportunity has arisen for a Assistant Director - MEP to join Dubai Holding Real Estate. The main duties and responsibilities of this role:

Oversee and provide inputs related to MEP, sustainability, and energy efficiency, to optimize project lifecycles and environmental impact.
Review MEP designs, liaise with the team on utilities, delivery, contractors, and consultants, and provide recommendations for amendments to optimize design throughout the project stages, guaranteeing cost-effective, efficient, and functionally sound MEP systems.
Participate in the entire tender management process, including coordinating with subcontractors, negotiations, and quantity take-offs, securing the best value for MEP services within project budget constraints.
Conduct Value Engineering studies throughout the project lifecycle to identify and recommend areas for optimal design performance, maximizing value and minimizing project costs without compromising functionality or safety.
Capture project feedback on operational shortfalls and discrepancies to develop permanent solutions for future projects, fostering continuous improvement and knowledge transfer across projects.
Provide clear and comprehensive deliverables within Requests for Proposals (RFPs) to ensure consultants meet project requirements, streamlining the selection process and ensuring project success.
Approve MEP project designs and infrastructure at various stages, ensuring adherence to approved criteria and standards, guaranteeing the safety, functionality, and code compliance of MEP systems.
Conduct due diligence on consultants, contractors, and suppliers to recommend qualified MEP service providers, mitigating project risks and ensuring the selection of competent partners.
Lead the integration of MEP into the design and execution of other projects within the company, fostering collaboration and ensuring seamless project execution across disciplines.
Implement departmental work plans, recommend procedural improvements, and direct the implementation of controls to ensure quality, cost-effective service delivery and compliance with regulations, achieving departmental goals while delivering high-quality and compliant MEP projects.
Liaise with local authorities (DEWA, Etisalat, Civil Defense) to resolve issues during the NOC approval process, ensuring timely project approvals and avoiding delays.
Provide technical advice to resolve issues on project sites, proactively addressing challenges and maintaining project progress.

About you:

The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Electronics Engineering Project Management Experience and Good knowledge of the relevant real estate market
Minimum 10-12+ years' of progressive experience in an engineering project Management role, preferably within a reputed regional developer/ Project management companies, with at least 5 years' experience in MEP Project Management function with Real Estate Developers.
Proficient in preparing and standardizing marketing documents, forms, and templates.
Ability to coordinate with external agents for placing advertisements in various media (print, radio, etc.).
Strong media relations skills for building and maintaining relationships to meet media requirements.
Effective communication and coordination skills to work with internal teams and ensure timely project completion.
Ability to compile, organize, and manage marketing materials, track revisions, and contribute to continuous improvement processes.
Proficient in managing the distribution of marketing materials and maintaining up-to-date database.
Skilled in organizing and attending events, exhibitions, and other marketing initiatives.
Computer ability in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and database software.
