HSE Officer

Job Location : Dubai, UAE

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure adherence to HSE & Food safety regulations as per UAE standards.
• Evaluate and verify that all food storage, handling, and distribution practices conform to food safety regulations and standards (e.g., HACCP, ISO 22000).
• Conduct regular audits of Food safety, HSE, and Risk assessments within the Distribution center to identify and address potential risks.
• Identify potential hazards and implement control measures to mitigate risks related to both HSE and food safety.
• Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses, and develop action plans to prevent recurrence.
• Develop and deliver training programs for employees on HSE and food safety, including induction training for new hires.
• Promote awareness and best practices regarding HSE and food safety throughout the distribution center.
• Develop, implement, and regularly review the distribution center's emergency response plan, including plans for food safety emergencies (e.g., contamination incidents).
• Conduct regular drills and ensure all employees are trained on emergency procedures, including those specific to food safety.
• Maintain accurate records of all HSE and food safety incidents, including detailed investigation reports.
• Report HSE and food safety performance to senior management and recommend corrective actions.
• Ensure proper waste management, recycling, and pollution prevention measures are in place, with special attention to food waste management.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Food Safety, or a related field.
• A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in an HSE or food safety role, preferably in a distribution or logistics environment dealing with food products.
• Certification in HSE practices (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH) and/or food safety management (e.g., HACCP, ISO 22000) is highly desirable.

Skills:

• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to conduct thorough investigations and root cause analysis.
