Business Analyst
Job Location : Dubai, UAE
Key Responsibilities:
• Current Business Analysis: Analyze volume, value, margin, and pricing at SKU, category, and brand portfolio levels.
• Price Volume Mix Analysis: Identify drivers across brands and markets to change levers for focused market growth.
• Pricing Structure Changes: Collaborate on creating changes to the pricing structure for category growth and competitive advantage.
• Plan Review & Adjustment: Review and advise changes to ensure business meets annual growth plans.
• Industry & Competitor Analysis: Analyse pricing data from industry standards, previous sales trends, and competitors, reporting to stakeholders.
• Sales Trends Comparison: Compare sales trends to previous periods to determine causes for changes.
• Price Structures Design: Partner with Commercial & Operations teams to design and implement annual and key account-based price structures.
• Metrics Development: Develop new metrics to identify trends, track, and monitor pricing performance for competitiveness and improved gross margins.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with Sales, Operations, Product Managers, Demand Planning, and Strategy teams to provide insights and discover opportunities.
• Integration Point: Act as a bridge between pricing and business teams.
• Growth Opportunity Identification: Identify profitable growth opportunities, especially in the retail business and key account business in critical markets.
• Contract Pricing Management: Lead the process to develop new contract pricing elements and review existing ones periodically.
Qualifications and Skills:
• Educational Background: Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Management, Statistics, or a comparable discipline. A masters degree in business Analysis, Business Administration, or Data Science is preferred.
• Technical Skills: Exposure to SAP, Salesforce.com, Cognos, or CRM databases.
• Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills to compare sales trends and determine market data.
• Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective presentations to management and the board.
• Detail-Oriented: Ability to maintain accuracy while analysing large data sets.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify and devise strategies to address declining sales trends.
• Collaboration Skills: Ability to work across functions, levels, and markets to analyse data and implement results.
