Accountabilities
Key Accountabilities:

Ensure that all shareholder policies concerning SHES are fully implemented and enforced at this shipbuilding site.
Manage team of lead shipbuilding inspectors who will be directly responsible for ensuring that the shipbuilder's efforts fully meet the expectations of the shareholders and are in accordance with the contract, specifications, approved plans, and the various memorandums of agreement.
Establish the field staff, including the hiring and supervision of local inspectors at this shipbuilding site.
Supervise the administrative staff, including the site secretary and administrative/technical assistant.
Manage the site project administration budget for the work being carried out at with this shipbuilding site.
Prepare regular management reports Project Management Team (PMT) including a summary of key events during the current reporting period, forecasts of events to come in the next reporting period, budgetary analysis and projections, schedule adherence, and mention of any special issues that are of significance.
Recommend cost changes and proposed design changes to (PMT) for consideration and approval.
Coordinate efforts with the other Site Managers as required.
Coordinate efforts with the terminal and Ship-Shore Interface personnel as required.
Coordinate efforts with the Shipbuilding Director and/or ship owner in matters regarding systems commissioning, trials, and delivery. These efforts may include development of the timetables for senior officer participation in such matters.
Act to ensure that all efforts meet the shareholder's vision, mission, and objectives.
Coordinate schedules to bring each vessel into service at delivery.

Qualifications:

Bachelor of Science in Naval Architecture or Marine Engineering, or Chief Engineer's License.


Experience:

Minimum twelve (12) years’ experience in the oil and gas industry with a ship owner/operator, responsible for the design and construction of large bulk liquid vessels including at least five (5) years of direct shipbuilding experience.
In-depth knowledge of ships and terminals operation and the LNG transportation industry.
Comprehensive knowledge of the ship design and construction business.
