Role Overview:

The Founding Principal will play a pivotal role in shaping the vision, mission, and academic framework of the school. The successful candidate will lead the setup process, recruit staff, oversee curriculum development, and drive student admissions to ensure a strong launch in August 2025.

Key Responsibilities:

Pre-Opening Phase (March – August 2025)
Strategic Leadership: Work closely with the school group’s leadership to develop a clear vision and strategic plan for the new school.

Staff Recruitment: Lead the hiring process for teachers and administrative staff, ensuring all hires align with the school’s high academic and professional standards.

Curriculum Implementation:

•Oversee the development and implementation of the American curriculum, ensuring alignment with Common Core Standards and best practices.
•Marketing & Admissions: Represent the school at events, open houses, and community engagement initiatives to drive student enrollment.
•Facilities & Resources: Ensure the campus, classrooms, and learning spaces are ready for an effective learning environment before the official opening.
•Post-Opening Phase (August 2025 onwards)
Academic Excellence: Establish and maintain high academic standards, ensuring students receive a top-quality American education.

Teacher Development:

•Lead professional development programs to build a strong teaching team.
•School Culture & Community: Create a positive, inclusive, and student-focused culture that fosters engagement and growth.
•Operations & Compliance: Ensure the school meets local and international accreditation standards, including policies related to student welfare, safeguarding, and governance.
•Parent & Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a liaison between parents, the school board, and external education bodies to ensure alignment with community expectations and institutional goals.

Candidate Requirements:

•Nationality: American (Candidates must be American-trained and experienced in an accredited American curriculum school).

Experience:

•Minimum 5-7 years of leadership experience as a Principal/VP or Head of School in an American curriculum institution.
•Strong experience in school startups, accreditation processes (Cognia, WASC), and teacher recruitment.
•Proven track record of academic excellence, school growth, and operational success.

Skills & Attributes:

•Visionary leadership with excellent strategic planning abilities.
•Strong understanding of Common Core, NGSS, and other American curriculum standards.
•Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and team-building skills.
•Cultural adaptability and willingness to work in an international setting.
