Librarian
Job Location : UAE
Responsibilities :
• Organize and maintain the library's collection of books, periodicals, and other materials.
• Assist patrons in locating information and resources, providing reference and research assistance.
• Develop and maintain a comprehensive cataloging system to ensure efficient access to library materials.
• Plan and conduct library programs and events to engage the community and promote literacy.
• Collaborate with teaching staff to support curriculum needs and integrate library resources into classroom instruction.
• Stay updated on emerging trends in library sciences and technological advancements to enhance library services.
• Provide assistance with technology resources, including computer and internet access, printing, and digital media.
Requirements :
• Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field.
• Proven experience working in a library or similar environment.
• Strong knowledge of library cataloging systems and classification standards.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to effectively interact with a diverse range of library patrons.
• Knowledge of current research methodologies and information retrieval techniques.
• Proficient in using library software and digital platforms for cataloging and organizing materials.
