Job Purpose:
The Senior IT Engineer (Project Manager) is responsible for managing major multidisciplinary IT projects, including the management of teams consisting of project stakeholders, discipline engineers, designers, subconsultants, and subcontractors. These projects span across various stages, from conceptual design to detailed design, implementation, and commissioning. The individual will handle clients' technical projects related to data center and network infrastructure, business continuity, disaster recovery, and cyber security. This role oversees the planning, resource allocation, budgeting, and performance tracking to ensure successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Management:
Lead and manage multidisciplinary IT projects, ensuring timely delivery within budget and scope.
Handle all project stages, from conceptual design to commissioning.
Manage teams, including engineers, designers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders, ensuring smooth coordination and collaboration.
Oversee the technical aspects of projects in areas such as data centers, network infrastructure, business continuity, disaster recovery, and cybersecurity.
Scope, Budget, and Schedule Management:
Develop detailed project scopes, budgets, and schedules.
Monitor and control project progress, costs, and schedules, adjusting as needed to meet goals.
Implement value improvement practices to optimize cost-effectiveness.
Control and manage changes in project scope, budget, or timeline.
Quality Assurance and Safety:
Maintain design integrity and ensure that all work meets quality standards and regulations.
Ensure that safety and health regulations are followed, including HSE guidelines and procedures.
Foster a culture of quality management, performance reporting, and continuous improvement.
Stakeholder and Relationship Management:
Interface with external stakeholders, subcontractors, subconsultants, and clients to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, ensuring satisfaction with project outcomes.
Report project performance and progress to senior management and clients.
Team Leadership and Development:
Lead, mentor, and coach project teams, ensuring professional development and effective performance.
Foster teamwork, collaboration, and knowledge-sharing within the project teams.
Provide training and guidance to junior staff and project participants.
Risk Management:
Proactively identify and manage project risks, including health, safety, environmental, and technical risks.
Ensure risk mitigation strategies are in place and followed throughout the project lifecycle.
Project Delivery:
Take full responsibility for overall project delivery, ensuring that the projects meet client expectations.
Manage the delivery process, ensuring projects are completed on time, within scope, and within the allocated budget.

Required Qualifications and Experience:
Minimum Experience: 15 years in relevant IT project management roles.
Experience in Project Management: At least 5 to 10 years of experience managing IT projects with substantial budgets (>$2 million).
Solid Experience in Agile Methodologies: Proven expertise with Agile project management, including backlog management, iterative development, and SDLC principles. Hands-on experience with the Scrum framework is a plus.
Experience in GCC or Saudi Arabia: Proven track record of working with external stakeholders in the GCC region, preferably with experience in Saudi Arabia.
Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and team management capabilities, with a focus on mentoring and developing subordinates.
Project Management Skills: Excellent skills in planning, scheduling, budgeting, risk management, change request management, and reporting.
Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of IT systems, data centers, network infrastructure, cybersecurity, business continuity, and disaster recovery principles.
Strong Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities, with experience in managing client relationships and reporting.
